Perennial

Agapanthus

These are striking South-African plants with strap-like leaves and very showy flowers! They flower late spring through the summer. Prefers full sun, well-drained soil and average watering. 

DEER RESISTANT and easy to grow! They are ideall for growing in containers and coastal areas (cope well with windy and salty air).

Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds!

Calla Lily

Easy to grow, adding a bit of class to the perennial gardens. Also great for cut flowers and container growing.  Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds!  Grows 2-3’ tall, requires well drained soil, full sun.  Cold hardy zone 8 (make sure you mulch in the winter!).

Deer and rabbit resistant, toxic.

Coreopsis

Coreopsis

Coriopsis is drought, deer and rabbit resistant and attracts bees and butterflies to the garden.  It’s easy to grow, good for containers. Long blooming season! Typically starts flowering early summer through fall!

LOTS OF STUNNING VARIETIES THIS YEAR! Especially excited about Nova “Sunstone” (available around end of May) and coreopsis “Firefly”.


Perennial

Delphinium grandiflorum “Honky Dory Blue”

Electric blue flowers! Grows approximately 16-24” tall, 12” wide.  Summer flowering, deer resistant.  Loved by pollinators. 

Eucomis ”Purple Reign” (Pineapple Lilly)

A hardy perennial offering a unique tropical flair!  Eucomis is native to South-Africa.  Grows 18” tall  24” wide. Late summer blooming, requires well drained soil.  Deer resistant.  Great addition for Cut-flower Gardens.  Flowers are 💕 by hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.

Monarda (Bee Balm)

Bee Balm is loved by bees, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators.  It is deer and rabbit resistant. Deadheading will encourage new blooms OR cut to the ground after flowering to promote new growth.   Sun to part shade lover, does well in containers and make excellent cut flowers. Fast growing and spreading. We carry only mildew-resistant varieties. 

Nepeta varieties (Catmint)

“Nova Blue”:  incredibly clean and crisp! Top attractor for bees and butterflies.  Fragrant. Deer resistant.   Blooms June, July, August, September & October! 4” tall, spread 24” wide. Works great in hanging baskets! 

Available end of May.

“Walkers Low”:  Award winning and noted for its MASSIVE lavender-blue blooms on short spikes in early summer, continuing on-off through early fall .

Remarkably LOW MAINTENANCE, DROUGHT TOLERANT, ignored by deer and rabbits, attracting BEES AND HUMMINGBIRDS.  Likes well drained soil, full sun and is salt tolerant too. 

Grows 2-3 feet tall and wide.


Perovskia (Xeriscaping and bee magnets)

Admired for its silvery gray, fragrant foliage as much as it’s lavender-purple flowers.  The abundant, spiky clusters of flowers bloom from late spring until autumn! Enjoys hot, dry conditions.  Loved by bees, hummingbirds, DEER and RABBIT RESISTANT. Showy and easy care!

HUMMINGBIRD FIESTA!! BETTER GET OUT OF THE WAY! Prefers full sun and well drained soil.

Meadow Sage/ Salvia

“Dark Mather”:  Beautiful, bold-dark flower spikes starts blooming early and rebloom through out the summer.  Forms an impressive display!  Grows up to 20” tall.

Shade to part shade loving.  Plant along streams, ponds. Scabiosa

A compact, clump-forming perennial which typically grows 12-15” tall.  Long and profuse bloom from late April until frost!  Cut flowers.  Attracts bees and butterflies. DEER RESISTANT.

Evening Primrose/Ozark Sundrops

Showy, sprawling/trailing/tumbling perennial that will turn heads.  Packed with LARGE, mildly FRAGRANT, bright yellow flowers from spring to early fall!  Full sun, well drained soil.  6-12 inches height,  Attracts bees and butterflies. 

Centaurea montana “Amethyst in Snow”/Mountain Cornflower

Unique colour combination! Minimum seeding. Grows to 14” tall and 28 wide.  Full sun, dry, well drained soil. Flowers May through June, and will rebloom when cut back. Plant at the base of a purple clematis plant and ….oe-la-la!
