” Lucifer”:  fiery red! ( 2-4 height).

”Firestarter”: arching stems tipped with funnel-shaped yellow blooms each with a bright orange margin. A more compact variety (29” tall) .

 ”Moonbeam” is a vigorous hybrid Tickseed. Only 12-18 inches high with lovely lemon-yellow flowers.  Blooms all summer long!  Full sun overs.

”Andiamo”:  yellow-red flowers, flowers form early summer into autumn. Mounding broadleaf, 1.5 inch flowers. full sun.  Height 15-18 inches tall and wide.

“Fire Twister”:  3.5” diameter flower! Deep burgundy foliage! Grows to 2.5 feet tall and spreads 2 feet.  Blooms from June to September! Very showy and makes great cut flowers.
“Burning Hearts”:  dark purple leaves and stems!  Sunflowerlike flowers with with yellow ray petals and red-orange centres.  Remove spent flowers for an extended blooming season.

Fragile spring flower develops and rises from the center  of its curled leaf, opening in full sun and closing at night. The red juice from its underground stem had been used as dye for baskets, clothing, and insect repellent. Effective as groundcover around base of trees. Underground stem (rhizomee) contain the medical a ALKALOID sanguinarine.  Althought plant is considered toxic, overcollection for herbal medicine has depleted wild population through out much of its native range. PART TO FULL SHADE.  Well drained soil but not drought tolerant.
