Mary Washington asparagus bare root! (Spring)

Dig a trench 6-8” deep and 12-18” wide,

place the crowns on small mounds of soil in the trench with roots spread out.  

Cover roots 2-3”.  Water. 

As the spears begin to grow, gradually add more soil every couple of weeks until trench is full. 

Bare Root Strawberries!

Dig a hole large enough for roots, place the roots fanned out.  Ensure the crown is exactly at soil level, then gently firm the soil and water.  Plant more or less 12” apart.
“ San Andreas”: Everbearing, large, firm sweet berries, more vigorous in early season, lighter in colour. 

” Albion”:  Everbearing, gold-standard strawberries! 

pomegranate “Parfianka” (Hardy)

Large, right red fruit with sweet, complex flavour.  Self-fertile.  Produces a heavy crop within 2-3 years!
Rated as one of the most flavorful varieties!  Grows approximalty 8’ tall and wide. Drought resistant. 

Persimmon Tree “Phoenix” (Hardy)

Superior variety!  Self fertile.

Can be pruned to 12’ (20’ tall without pruning), 

forming a naturally compact, rounded habit. 


Fruit

Blueberries and haskap

”Chandler”: Biggest blueberry of them all! Large, sweet, juicy berries, mid-season.

”Duke”:  Known for its high consistent yields, firm and quality fruit. 

”Elliot”: Big and flavourful! A late season variety.

” Blue Crop” :  Late season, produces an abundance of large, all purpose berries in July. 

“ Pink Popcorn”: Pink berries with a true, blueberry flavour! 

”Bluecrop“:  an all-around favourate, highbush blueberry.  High yielding & delicious fruit.

“HASKAP”: also known as Canadian honeyberries.  A DELICIOUS blend between tangy and sweet, HUGE  HEALTH BENEFITS, higher in antioxidents than blueberries.  Support cardiovascular and brain health, boost immune function, and aid digestion through their fibre content. Berries are more oval than blueberries.

”Blue Bananna” Cross pollinates well with Boreal Beast.  Large berries, unique flavour, often descriped as smoked strawberries.

”Boreal Beast”: Companion for Boreal Beauty.  Excellent firmness and taste! 

”Boreal Beauty”: Late season fruit.  Taste like a blend of blueberries. Large, firm, juicy and sweet berries!

Kiwi (self-fertile varieties)

”Jenny”: The only SELF-FERTILE, fuzzy kiwis variety available. A spectacular climber, with sweet, BIG FUZZY fruit.

”Issai”: Self-fertile with grape sized, smooth fruit! Slightly sweeter with excellent flavour!

Ziziphus jujuba!

Nutrient-rich fruit! High content of antioxidant, vitamins and minerals. May help to promote sleep, aid digestion, support immune system, may have anti-aging effects, and support heart health. Deer resistant due to its spiny, tough nature.

”Black Sea”:  large, chocolate brown fruit with very sweet, crisp flavour.  Reliably flower and bare fruit in late summer /fall. Greatly benefits by having Jujuba “ Suger Cane” as a pollinator.  Grows 8-10’ tall. 

” Sugar Cane” : incredible sweet fruit! Grows 15-20’ tall, excellent for fresh eating.

“Boyne”:  a longtime proved favourite, excellent flavour and quality. 

“Herritage”:  exceptional flavour! Everbearing. 

“Shortcake”:  dwarf and thornless!  Perfect for containers!
“Joan J”: thornless, everbearing.

BLACKBERRIES:

”Apache”:  Large, sweet, thornless fruit.  Erect canes, does not need trellis & easier to maintain.

“Little Ben” Gooseberries

Compact and extremely productive!
2-3’ tall and wide, nearly thornless, mildew resistant and self fertile!

Bay Leaf Trees / Laurus nobilis/Turkish bay leaf

Aromatic evergreen tree or large shrub.  Slow growing.  Brilliantly adds flavour (herb) to soups, casseroles, curries and more. List of health benefits includes, a good source of Vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, all needed for supporting a healthy immune system.

Early flowering and prized for its abundant crops of 1”diameter fruits! Grows 3-5’ tall! Self fertile! Cold hardy up to -10C. Cold hardy zone 8. Yield 40+

Incredible fruiting power!  Produces an abundance of full-sized fruit from the first growing season! Needs full sun and use a coarse, acidic and well drained potting soil.
