Cryptomeria japonica (Japanese Cedar)

Incredibly interesting conifers, ranging in many, many, different sizes and colours!  Easy to grow in well drained soil &  deer resistant.  Cryptomeria thrive in full sun or part shade.
Once established Japanese Cedars are low maintenance, extremely interesting, beautiful and long lived.  They have an excellent drought tolerance once established (especially when roots are being mulched)!  Water new plantings deeply (not lightly and frequently) so the conifer can develop a strong, deep root system and you’ll have a friend for life!
